Wyndham's International Trading Company Relationships
|
Wyndham has developed close working relationships with some of the
world’s largest international trading companies in order to create a
turn-key process for reducing costs and increasing sales
pre-acquisition, thereby adding value.
Through these relationships and its Service Company Wyndham arranges
for its portfolio companies to reduce their raw material costs by
piggy-backing on the global procurement networks and economies of scale
of the trading companies. Improved purchasing of raw materials and
other inputs is arranged pre-acquisition and then implemented upon
closing of the acquisition. Such global procurement cannot normally be
achieved by middle market companies.
On the sales side, Wyndham, correspondingly, arranges for the trading
companies to represent its portfolio companies in selling the
companies’ finished goods in foreign markets where the companies have
no presence. Such distribution arrangements add incrementally to the
growth of each portfolio company, without its incurring the cost of
establishing a local distribution infrastructure; this arrangement
provides portfolio companies with instant access to a diverse
geographic range of markets.
